Tariff Authority for Major Ports

Corrigendum

No.TAMP/8/99-PPT -             The Tariff Authority for Major Ports had passed an Order on 10 April 2000 in case No.TAMP/8/99-PPT amending the Scale of Rates of vessel related charges and cargo related charges of the Paradip Port Trust (PPT).  This Order was notified in the Gazette of India Extraordinary (Part III Section 4) on 27 April 2000 vide Gazette No.41.

2.                      Some calculation errors have been identified in Paragraph 19 (viii) (b) of the above Order.  Paragraph 19 (viii) (b) is, therefore, deleted and substituted by the following:  

            As part of its comprehensive proposals, the PPT has recommended a revision of these rates to Rs.40/-PMT and Rs.30/- PMT, respectively.  This cannot be accepted.  In line with our proposal for a 15% increase, the rate for shipment charges for Iron Ore is revised to Rs.34.50/- PMT.  However in the case of tippling charges for Iron Ore, the PPT has proposed an increase from Rs.28/- PMT to Rs.30/- PMT which is approved in accordance with the decision given in Paragraph 18 (iii) above.
